Plan Ahead: VOTE!
Take a stand for our equality! Plan to vote!
This isn't a major election year, no national offices are at stake. However, in many states and municipalities, local offices are being contested. Governors and state general assemblies are facing the electorate and courting the public for their support. This is not an election that we, the GLBT community, can afford to ignore.
In order to advance the cause of our complete equality, we need to remain active and participate in this process. Local officials, at all levels, are just as accountable for their political actions as are national leaders. We need to vote and ensure that haters and extremists understand that liberty and justice for all means exactly what it says: for all, GLBT people included.
Plan now to cast your ballot in the upcoming November elections. Due to ever-changing and varying voter identification requirements in the different states, begin now to guarantee that you'll have easy access to vote.
1. Check with your local registrar to know what ID is needed. Verify that you are registered to vote.
2. Understand the absentee/early voting policy within your jurisdiction.
3. Make certain your photo identification is current and meets local standards.
4. Participate in the election, make sure that you vote!
Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!
