THE ONLY REASON FOR A NATURIST/NUDIST TO OWN A PAIR OF BRIEFS IS TO TAKE THEM OFF!
By now, most of us are all too familiar with the fact that beaches located on Fire Island will be subject to intense enforcement of New York State's "no public nudity" ban. This commitment to strictly adhere to this mandate was announced by the new Park Ranger responsible for supervising security at the various sites. What this means for those New Yorkers and tourists who prefer the clothes-free beach environment is that Gunnison Beach/Sandy Hook at Gateway National Park Area in northern New Jersey is the only local option. Unfortunately, that location remains questionable for 2013, due to damages sustained from 2012's SuperStorm Sandy.
Public outcry over this decision by authorities, from naturists/nudists and those who aren't, is flooding the offices of the park administration. At this time, it is unknown if this reaction will have any impact on the initial directive. In the meantime, I thought a little humor was appropriate.

It would be interesting to find out something about this park ranger...could it be that he's some kind of prudish Evangelical? or worse...a Republican? or even worse...both?

Europeans on the whole do not have this complex about nudity. It seems to be a peculiarly North American thing.
Unfortunately Gunnison beach has taken more of a pounding this Winter with the storms we've been having. It's going to be interesting to see what's left of all the beaches here in NJ this summer.
