SuperBrawl

It isn't the usual "coming-out" story that plays out in a courtroom but that seems to be the case here concerning Kwame Harris, a former professional offensive lineman for the National Football League (NFL). According to court documents and press reports, in an altercation over soy sauce and white rice, Harris and his ex-boyfriend got physical with one another last August that resulted in criminal and civil charges being filed against Harris.

Kwame Harris

On August 21, 2012, Kwame Harris and his former boyfriend, Dimitri Greier, were having dinner at a restaurant in Menlo Park prior to Harris taking Greier to San Francisco International Airport for a departing flight. During the course of the meal, Dimitri poured soy sauce on the rice, which angered Kwame. An argument followed.

The incident escalated and Harris refused to drive to the airport. Greier decided to take a cab instead and as the two went to Harris' vehicle to retrieve the luggage, the disagreement became physical. Harris attempted to pull down Greier's pants and accused him of stealing his underwear. Then the fists began to fly.

Harris allegedly broke bones around Greier's eye socket that required a metal plate to be installed. Harris charges that Greier swung first and that he was defending himself. Harris' attorney, Alan Critean, says that since Dimitri's injuries were worse, authorities chose to charge his client with "felony counts of domestic violence causing bodily injury" and "assault with force likely to cause bodily injury."

Harris is 6'7" tall and weighs 240 pounds. Greier is 6'1" and is 220 pounds. Critean states his client acted in self-defense and that the civil suit is a "get rich quick" attempt.

Both Greier and Harris acknowledge their romantic involvement in the past.

Kwame Harris was a first round draft pick for the NFL from Stanford University. He played for the San Francisco 49ers team from 2003-2007. He played for the Oakland Raiders NFL franchise in 2008 and then retired.

Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!
