His name is Pavel Petel and he is turning heads in his native Russia because he is doing exactly what naturists/nudists do when they own a pair of briefs (or boxers, bikinis, thongs, jockstraps, etc.), he's taking them off and then performing live, on stage and completely naked. He's the founder of The Naked DJs, a travelling show that is taking Moscow, St. Petersburg and all of Russia by storm.

Petel, who appears with The Naked DJs co-founder and his partner (professional and ...?), Sergey Ostrikov, have created, choreographed, directed, perfected and written a stage production of almost two hours that is in heavy demand and highly popular. What's more, it's not only a success with local audiences, it's likewise a "must see" for tourists and their much-needed foreign currency in economically troubled Russia.

In a country that is not known for it's tolerant climate, both figuratively and literally, the duo push the limits in combining both the feminine and the masculine into their stage persona's. Petel, the more flamboyant as well as the muscled beefier of the two, often appears wearing make-up, high heels, a wig and nothing else save a cock-ring. And their audiences and fans, female as well as male, are loving the costume-free entertainment.

Pavel Petel is enjoying major celebrity status throughout Russia. Last year, he began his own clothing line and young Russians are buying all of his T-shirts displaying his notorious ass. Some media journalists are even disputing which is more popular, Petel the performer or his butt.

In Russia, Pavel Petel is widely known as the Prince of Pop Art. The authorities aren't too happy with The Naked DJs, however, as long as they're generating revenue that's coming back to state coffers, they'll tolerate the nudity and the gender-bending performances.
